Dimaklumkan bahawa Kementerian Keselamatan Dalam Negeri (KKDN) telah digabungkan dengan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Dalam Negeri (KHEDN) yang kini dikenali sebagai Kementerian Dalam Negeri (KDN) dalam penyusunan semula Kabinet yang telah diumumkan oleh Perdana Menteri pada 18 Mac 2008.

Y.B. Dato' Seri Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar telah dilantik sebagai Menteri Dalam Negeri manakala Y.B. Dato' Chor Chee Heung dan Senator Dato' Wan Ahmad Farid bin Wan Salleh pula telah dilantik sebagai Timbalan-Timbalan Menteri Dalam Negeri. Ketua Setiausaha Kementerian Dalam Negeri ialah Y. Bhg. Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof.

Untuk melicinkan urusan pentadbiran Kementerian yang baru, penyusunan semula struktur organisasi sedang dalam tindakan dan akan diselesaikan dalam masa terdekat.

This is to announce that the Ministry of Internal Security (KKDN) has merged with Ministry of Home Affairs (KHEDN) and is now known as Ministry Of Home Affairs (KDN). The Prime Minister declared this during the recent Cabinet reshuffle on the 18th of March 2008.

Y.B. Dato' Seri Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar has been appointed as the Minister of Home Affairs while Y.B. Dato' Chor Chee Heung and Senator Dato' Wan Ahmad Farid bin Wan Salleh will act as the deputies. Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof on the other hand, is the Chief Secretary to the Ministry.

To ensure smooth operations of the new Ministry's administration, restructuring of the organization is in progress and will be completed soon.
